The Allusionist is a delightful podcast about language by Helen Zaltzman. I used a custom Python webscraper to pull data on featured words and their respective episodes from the podcast’s official home on the internet, just for fun. Turns out, there is a statistically insignificant increase in the number and length of the words featured in Zaltzman’s episodes over time. Data processed in Python and Excel and visualized in Tableau Cloud.
